Tech is so cool. With the N810 I can see where we are on the map of Canada. Too bad I haven't downloaded European maps yet.

And I thought the slender flight attendants were for eye candy... it's to save on fuel!

If I'm worried about being mistaken for a terrorist, am I worrying less about some one else actually being a terrorist? Pacifying by distraction...

Captain tells us Edmonton is to our left and we'll pass Greenland, Iceland along the way. Am I tired enough to pretend it's 1 AM?

Attention passengers of flight ... to Calgary to Manchester, we are just waiting for the caterers to leave the plane and we will begin boarding shortly.

No watch but I finally got a GPS fix.

Riding the metro here is like getting into a take away box. The cars are pretty small and have angled (well, rounded) sides.

I can see myself saying good-bye to Mom, Dad, and Leanne at the airport before crossing the security line. I don't know if I'd say it out loud, but I'll be thinking it'll never be the same. Being away for a year will affect the relationships with the people you know, but aside from that, there's the fact that I'm never going to come back the same person. It's part of my reason for going on this trip. I just hope I come back a better person.
