    An older gentleman in the corner shop talked of how Aberdeen is a terrible city after the oil money came in. The kids drink and do foolish things. Says, even as an Aberdonian, the people in Edinburgh are much nicer.

    The park was Victoria Park, a welcome reprieve from all the stone. My friend was right, it really is grey here. Walls, houses. It all at once gives the place a village charm & makes it dull.

    A fine park, huge, with smells of different flowers as you walk along. And birds singing the whole time. Dad and kids playing football, a couple joggers about. The latter seem out of place in the serenity here.

    Just explored the local Woolsworth. Not too different from a Zellers except they have "Smooth Apple Juice" with a hint of Barley and a voice that tells you which cash register to go to.
